How it continues after the group stage

From each of the twelve groups, the top two plus the eight best third-placed teams advance to the new round of 32. This round of 32 begins on 28 June; the final is on 19 July. We'll add the full knockout schedule as soon as the fixtures are set.

The World Cup as an opportunity for small businesses

Big tournaments are a good hook for small self-employed people too: a World Cup special offer in your online shop, a fitting social-media post around a match, or a small in-store promotion all draw attention. Important: feel free to use the occasion of „the World Cup", but not the protected logos, emblems or official designations of FIFA – that's risky under trademark law. A friendly reference to the matches is perfectly enough.
